HAVEN HOUSE SUMMER REUNION WITH THE STRENGTH PROJECT: Friday 26 July starting at 10:30am at Oddfellows
Sadly, the event on Friday 26 July starting at 10:30am at Oddfellows (32 Charnwood Street) will be the last organised by Creative Carers so we really do hope to see you there.
Remember, we can no longer afford 31 Charnwood Street due to the loss of the City Council contract (back in November 2018) so this event will be at Oddfellows (next door). We think that ‘Haven House’ is anywhere where carers get together, self-organise and support each other.
With some one-off funding, we aim to strengthen the local voice of carers. We’re no longer paid by the city council to provide support, or information although, of course, if, as carers, we can help each other out, we will always try. We think decision-makers SHOULD listen to us, as a carer-led project, but there are no guarantees. Whatever decision-makers do, we really want to meet up with as many of you as possible, for one last time, to thank you for your passion and commitment to carer-led activities.
At our reunion, there’ll be a lovely FREE ‘last lunch’ and we hope to have a crafts display and some relaxation tips while the main activity is a workshop about us ‘designing’ the future for carers across Derbyshire (including the city).
Here’s the flyer with a bit more detail:
You MUST book on to the event for a place and a FREE lunch (please tell us about dietary requirements when you book) by email: email@example.com OR phone 01332-227711 (answerphone only)
We really hope to see you soon
